First off, congratulations 
Secondly, sorry man it sucks to rebuild the thing again and again.
I put all 230 pounds of me on one intersection and it didn't break, and it's got 21 square inches of lengthwise beam. I still need to make a headboard and footboard to elevate it at least 12". I haven't settled on a design for that yet.
This is all wood I milled from the trees in my back yard.
