Hey y’all!
For those who don’t know me, I received my doctorate degree in Physical Therapy 2 years back & currently working towards being licensed.
This is an update about my current situation as a physical therapist:
As of now, I will be re-taking my National Physical Therapy Examination this coming April to obtain my licensure to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy anywhere in the U.S.
This has been THE most difficult part of my life journey I’ve ever had to endure and, to be this close to the end of the academia portion of my profession, it’s incredibly mentally taxing to say the very least.
This next board exam will be my 4th try out of 6 lifetime attempts to take it and I am so ready to get this over and done with. In order to qualify for licensure to practice in the US, I need a minimum of 600 out 800.
So far my scores for the NPTE:
• attempt #1: 542
• attempt #2: 597
• attempt #3: 598
• attempt #4: TBD (passing 🤞🏼)
Sadly, the board exams are only available 4 times out of the year with 3-4 months in between, so it’s a lot of reviewing & a waiting game until the next test date comes up.
Full disclaimer: I was told by some very genuine, authentic individuals here on #Nostr to share my story with y’all & keep you guys updated with my journey to be licensed.. so here I am. I am grateful to be here.
If you got this far, thank you for coming to my “Ted Talk” personal #introduction & I will continue to share with y’all with further updates.
