In the 2023 drought on we lost 90% of deciduous trees and shrubs planted late 2022.
Without actively moving (pumping..) water to the topsoil a lot of nature (and plantations) will not be able to renew their current stock of larger trees and shrubs. Seedlings in poor soil simply can't survive a two month drought. Not sure how we will move forward here.
