Also character deaths are basically free. Don't worry about them unless you need them back up to continue the mission, then you can use a continue, which might mean you swing a few missions to get more continues instead of having to pick between three terrible weapon mods. Not a big loss. If someone is dead at mission end and you didn't spend a continue and you won, you lost NOTHING.
