But the 30 is not for the full upload amount, it's for the lack of any message between the server and the phone in 30 seconds, 10 if you are on WIFI. Large files are broken down into multiple parts and are sent one after another. If there is more than 30 seconds difference between them, there is a timeout message. That usually only happens when either the phone or the server is too busy doing other things to reply timely.
