When you operate your own node(s) you do not need to put up with any of this crap, and oh look - the Fediverse was supposed to FEDERATE us owner-operators. We do not need to maintain ellaborate mission statements about what we do and why we do it.
Humongous CENTRALIZED instances like the old NAS and the new NAS weakens the fedi by allowing millions of morons to "sign up" and make no effort to "build" anything.
NAS / MAS should move to a centralized, subscription-based model and join the countless other forums out there.
