Kodachi Linux is pretty cool. Got it running on a Lenovo X1 right now. Couple of problems though, the UEFI is out of date on the ISO so you need to disable secureboot to boot to the live environment. Not great for a security focused OS.
I was going to run this in a VM on an Apple M2 Max, but hey look you can't emulate x68 on Apple ARM *AT ALL.* Learn to luv Arch, I guess.
There are a couple of repos with old sigs that I disabled, since they involve public VPNs.
Getting my proton VPN and my seedbox OpenVPN configs set up was relatively easy, but did involve editing a config file.
It's not super friendly for newbs, but I'm having a good time playing with it. Next step is to install Alby on it and start Nostr-ing through non 14 eyes tor routers.
Verdict : If your threat surface isn't an Ed Snowden or a Matt Taibbi, kodachi is probably good enough. That is to say, for a normal user like me who isn't up to anything nefarious and just thinks privacy is important, it's good stuff.
