My bit of music production geekery for the day: I love long fade-outs. My favorite example, somewhat to my embarrassment, is in a Christian pop song from my teenage years, "All We Need" by Out of the Grey. I think one can appreciate the music without being offended by the words. Other examples that I happen to know about are "One Night Love Affair" by Bryan Adams and the finale of The Who's rock opera Tommy, "We're Not Gonna Take It". I'm sure there are better ones.
