Unsolicited Endorsement: my Smile Jamaica brand earbuds lasted for 5 years, enduring perfectly despite accidentally going through the washer-dryer cycle twice, and I only needed new ones now due to them being run over by a lawn mower. The new ones came in plastic-free packaging, and the buds themselves use wood & silk and minimal plastic. Strong recommendation, great sound too.
