I think the problem with boomers vs the following generations is that boomers have been able to accumulate assets massively due to the broken money and corrupt politics of the last decades of the 20th century, while the current generations can't, regardless of how much and how well they work. You can find countless cases of young people who do well, in fact much better than their parents ever did, and still can't afford a house.
On top of that, boomers also suck on the younger generations' tit like a hungry vampire via public pensions, which in most Western countries are not related to what they paid "back then", but are paid for "live", right now, by the current workforce via taxation/Social Security, further aggravating their inability to save and afford the purchase of assets.
