Yeah this is always fun. ‘Absolute’ versus ‘relative’ directions.
Compass headings have no dependency on where you are or which way you’re going but do need a directional orientation to begin with. If you go with relative references like 'turn right at the corner', is that my right or the other guy’s?
The directions I love to hear are like ‘turn left where the Texaco station used to be’. Even more fun!
