I'm seeing more Bluesky angst this afternoon, and the proposition that since Bluesky is open source, it's all good. Tbh, I don't find that convincing at all. I see Threads and Bluesky as very much alike, created under profit models that need future returns. That will shape future management decisions. Even if it's not full enshittification it's not likely to be truly user first.
Mastodon, if you pay your Patreon etc, is user funded and much more likely to be user focused. If slower.
