Fiat has trained us to think that someone else's profit has to come at our expense, while also creating many people who desperately need to profit by any means necessary. Under crony capitalism, those who have political connections and sacrifice the future (i.e. credibility or sustainability) for the present (gimmicks, scams)... or give you "something" (factory food) for nothing (promises, propaganda) survive easiest.

Under legit capitalism, those who help others most get the biggest reward.
