A conversational style that I hope is easy to read and has a rhythm that pulls you along like smooth jazz, but crescendos every so often into subtle, or sudden, humor that hits like a punchline or lifts you higher like a warm wave, carrying you past the shoals of adversity the characters struggle to navigate.
