When do people who claim the Holocaust is exaggerated think that idea was started?

I have a set of 1950s encyclopedias that say 3/4 of the 8M Jews in Europe were killed.

The numbers can seem impossible, but then look at US production of planes, tanks, munitions etc at the same time.

The numbers are inconceivable today.
