God's promises never end and Israel is still God's chosen people even if they are apostate at the moment. "For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually." (2 Chronicles 7:16)
Revelation talks of turning Israel back to Him and will be God's primary evangelists (144,000 see Revelation 7) during the 7 year tribulation. {Sorry I don't have time to give more scripture right now}
You can make a reasonable arguments (from a secular point of view) against the creation of Israel which did displace some people or give them a government that they did not chose, but that was done by people other than the Jews (they may have requested it, but couldn't have made it happen without the Western nations).
