One day, Bitcoin takes over. And the governments of the world, after failing with CBDCs. Try make people hand over their bitcoin, making self custody illegal. Then tokenize it backed by real BTC. Wait a year or two. Then steal the BTC because of some war or some random event that seems strangly good timing to have an excuse to steal everyone's funds. Then not return the BTC. Telling everyone to just use the tokenized versions instead, which they then inflate into oblivion.
But don't worry that will never happen. The governments purpose it to serve it's citizens. They would never do such a thing.. right ? Not like there is any past examples of... Oh 😳
