As someone born in the mid 80's, I always had this nagging feeling of having missed the boat on something - as if I had arrived too late to a party that was already over and everybody was hungover and grumpy.
These days, I tend to think of two factors: the oil crisis and AIDS.
Am I the only one who grew up with that sensation?
