Extremely Autistic Post Warning
Due to %the current event% I find myself needing to cook in this specific pan every morning and am looking for advice. I'm not personally used to using butter as a non-stick since I usually use the spray, but the ol' man doesn't allow that anywhere near his house for reasons I don't fully understand.
So, for those who cook using butter, how do you apply said butter? I've tried a few different methods over the last few weeks and have eventually settled on slicing a small bit of butter off with a knife, then using 1 clean finger I smear the butter around on the cold pan till it looks like the picture. I then turn on heat and start cooking eggs once it has some heat in it.
The problem with said method is the texture of butter offends my autistic senses quite a bit. I've tried various methods of getting the butter into the pan and trying to get a good coating to no success. I also need a good coating because he wants those perfectly flipped over hard eggs which essentially fill said pan.
Do I just need to power through my tism and keep on manually applying the butter or is there a better way?
