* Phone battery is for emergencies..... and taking a million photos... but mostly emergencies. Honest
* I like Google satellite view alongside OS view, which you can't do on one screen. With a map I can compare side by side
* You can spread it out on a rock like this is a key point in your quest for an ancient treasure
* makes it more obvious to "well meaning" blokes on the route that I am an experienced walker and no I am not lost
