Time isn't linear. As light travels through light years in space it can slow or increase it's speed. Time is definitely relative given nuances of size, distance, gravity of black holes etc. This isn't to say that we can go back in time, but we can definitely accelerate.
That and our outer space has another ' outer space' beyond it. Which is hard for us to explain because it doesn't have the qualities of time, space, and matter like we're used to thinking of reality in.
