37 years ago my dad got out the good binoculars and took me out one night to the woodshed, away from the light of the house. After a bit of hunting, he showed me a little fuzzy ball of light in the sky -- Halley's Comet. Today, 35 AU away, out where the sun isn't even a particularly bright star, it hit aphelion. It's on its way back.
