Nostr development doesn’t need to be low time preference. It also doesn’t need to intentionally break things, but since global consensus is not needed here, the pace of development can be faster and more “reckless” in a sense. The only thing you need is compatibility with the features your users want. For many users that includes cross compatibility with other nostr apps, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that in every case.
