Rust isn't my language of choice and it's not conducive to the way I design software BUT it's clearly a very useful language that I think is probably the right way to implement the Linux kernel design -- and while I would design my own kernel some other way, a way in which those tradeoffs may not make sense, and I have plenty of critiques of Linux upstream -- I'm literally using Linux to write this comment so I must find it useful.
