I think it's just ignorance of how to use bitcoin. Just the idea of setting up a wallet on your phone.. We should see a guide:Step one... Open a little account at your favorite bank.. 2: Put a few bucks in the new account.. 3: Find a wallet that works on your phone..4: I started with using Strike, and still like it.. So go through the process with Strike. 5:You'll come to a point where you will link that little Bank account to your Strike account. 6: Send a few bucks from that little bank account to your Strike account.. 7: Now, you can use those few bucks in your Strike account to buy and hold some Bitcoin in your Strike account too.. Everything has a documented history. Along the way, start looking into Bitcoin Lightning. Maybe you'll even take a look at Nostr too.. Well, that's what I could come up with.. Did I miss anything?
quoting nevent1q…nvh2Paying for things in Bitcoin has obvious benefits. But spending is spending and Bitcoin is just slightly more convenient and you can hodl it yourself. The real benefit is for merchants. I find myself wanting refunds in Bitcoin quite often because as a receiver the benefits WILDLY exceed fiat. I cannot understand why on earth there are not more merchants accepting Bitcoin. Final settlement, no third party to deal with, no charge back, no fee to a middleman, just a small tx fee, it costs nothing to start accepting it and you can opt in whenever you want.
