Our family tradition is one big/expensive present, 3 or 4 small ones, and a stocking with candy and a travel-size game or two. We're a spread out family and not many make the effort to mail presents so the only gifting is immediate fam.
Nothing extravagant but lasted long enough to take pics and make memories with the kids.
