On the social media site that I use to keep up with people from my parents' generation and people I knew 30-40 years ago, I posted a couple of pics this morning of pollinators on pretty flowers. The throw-away "pretty" post got a dozen positive emoji reactions -- every last one of them from a woman. Apparently none of my male "friends" in the anodyne social media sense give a fuck about #bees and #butterflies.
