Sometimes I miss Twitter for the social movements and protests that erupted there as people used that tool in smart ways. We're still in the middle of re-learning that skill, rebuilding the social networks that also exist without technology. These networks have also existed before, just within one app — Twitter.
Sure, this is more complicated now as there's Mastodon and Threads and Bluesky and Instagram and Tiktok etc. But I'm not sure if "Write once, post everywhere" is a good way to do that.
