I have never played a Pokémon game, and I have also never played a Shin Megami Tensei game. I consistently see both franchises on “Top RPG” lists and I’ve finally decided to dip my toes in.

After some research I’ve chosen Fire Red from GBA for my Pokémon starter and Soul Hackers from 3DS for my SMT jumping-off point.

Did I pick well for a newbie? Any tips, tricks or suggestions? Thanks in advance!
