Ironically, the truth here is the opposite of what the conspiracy theories would have you believe. The security and integrity of US election infrastructure has improved tremendously over the last decade. There's still work to do, but inherently vulnerable touchscreen voting machines are rapidly disappearing and new, mathematically rigorous election auditing techniques have been developed to ensure the accuracy of tallies. Elections are improving, and public attention will improve them even more!
