Cowbell .. we have an extraordinary situation here. A criminal that has occupied the Oval Orfice! My suspicion is that if he is convicted of any crime for which he has been charged, he will wear an ankle bracelet and be confined. I believe that is because of fear that jailing him would precipitate a violent reaction. I think that is the only reason that he hasn't been confined so far!
