In CO hunters kill 500 lions every year, in WY leg. is considering legalizing running down wolves with snowmobiles. These predators may be the best control of Chronic Wasting Disease - a prion (protein) that eats the brains of ungulates. Prions can't be killed, but may be de-activated by predators digestive system, who tend to prey on the weak. Predators scapegoated for doing the right thing. #Nature #Environment
