Yes that is the real test. Everything is so easier in theory.
What disturbs me about "Outbox is simple" claim, is that actually implementing a DHT was more straightforward than the Outbox model is, even in theory.
But to be fair, I would have preferred a more complex DHT than simple Outbox model anyway, because the many orders of magnitude more nodes vs relays.
