Usually we're under the roofs, looking up. But sometimes, if we're standing on a balcony of a taller building, we look down and see things from a totally different perspective.

It's like standing in another person's shoes, looking through their eyes. And while we can't do that physically, in our minds when we try it, we may see the roofs from above as opposed to from below.
