Dunno man. Sure doesn't look like it. The EU debt is unsustainable and Germany doesn't have the output to pay for everything herself. Hungary doesn't look like it's backing down and will use their power of veto whenever there's something she doesn't agree with. Just to name two examples. Theres's definitely something to be said about the EU's role in helping national governments pass silly laws without backlash. I wouldn't underestimate the self interest of national governments to keep themselves in power by means of populism which is starting to clash with Brussels' initiatives more and more.
