As someone who didn't know what a Sat was before I joined Nostr a few months ago, I think you can't avoid it. Without topping up, the function is meaningless. And in a new user's journey to figure out what exactly to top up and how, they'll come across Sats. And then the'll have to figure out what a Sat is worth. And after that they'll have to figure out how to buy them. And where.
And that's a pretty arduous Google journey of "How do I buy Sats?", leading to at least a few websites that are a complete waste of time, and some that are pure SEO spam, or look scammy, and a few iOS apps that are a waste of a download, or that ask for a utility bill that when you take a picture the AI can't process, and so on.
And then you ask a few friends if anyone has Sats, and nobody has Sats, but someone gives you a 20 minute lecture on why Monero is the best thing since prehistoric sliced dinosaur bread.
And then, eventually, maybe, you figure out that this Primal wallet can be topped up easily enough with Apple's payment. But somehow the amount being quoted seems low. Then you guess maybe Apple is taking a percentage. Then you look elsewhere to save that percentage. Then more waste-of-time websites and apps. Then you give up. Then you come back to Primal and give Apple their due.
So trust me, by the time a new user is actually going to use that feature they definitely know what Sats are.
