Harnesses have their issues but are a requirement in the early stages of your homelessness

Yes, my Girls are harness trained. Yes, they can take me for a walk. Do we enjoy this?

Hell, NO.

Cats are not dogs. Who would have thunk it? If you've trained your cat to enjoy a harness from an early age all power to you. Mine were inside cats and were not thrilled to be trained to wear a harness as an adult.

But they acquiesced. Being outside in a harness beat being cooped up in a tent.

The major problem with a harness is a cat's capacity to extricate themselves from it if they are spooked. And mine spook easily.

I did discover that you can buy harnesses that 'guarantee' your cat will remain in them but, like collars, that has problems if your cat finds themselves dangling from a fence or other structure.

Anyhoo, I'll cover exercise, control and containment in a separate thread.
