I've said this before but:
Budget cuts to services that intervene early in potential crisis, from health to education and wider afield, are a false economy.
Without these services the more expensive crisis response services see demand rise & thus in the face of urgent need draw more public funds to respond to rising emergency cases.
Of course if you wanted to punish the vulnerable & wreck the public sector then this isn't a bug in the Tories' austerity its a feature!
