My perspective on health is constantly shifting. Really starting to believe that people are way too hyper-focused and zoomed in, even in the holistic space. Approaching health in a reductionist way.
We are compartmentalizing our bodies, trying to address this level that level this vitamin that hormone. Find a supplement to address xyz. Resistance train x times per week with progressive overload for the rest of your life. Eat x g of protein for muscle synthesis.
Everything about these things feels like we know better than the divine creator and that we should constantly be controlling and micromanaging our bodies. And that we have found the perfect equation. Our bodies don't need us trying to solve the equation and determine how much of this or that we need. Our health doesn't need to be so rigid and structured and calculated.
All of this is being recommended in absence of our energy fields, our life experiences, our thoughts and beliefs. We are all connected. We are all energy.
Are you even happy? Do you know what your purpose is? Are you spending time with people you love? Are you creating things? Are you playing?
I feel like people want to know why their body's aren't running optimally and just find external sources to fix it. Rather than cultivate the real work internally.
They want to know the perfect workout routine, should I not do cardio, should I lift, should I avoid HIIT for high cortisol.
They want to know how much protein should I eat, how much fat should I avoid, what foods should I fear, what brand of minerals should I put in my filtered water.
They want to focus in on these tiny obsessive details thinking it will lead them to the perfect health, meanwhile it's distracting them from truly living life.
It's fear mongering and hyper-zoomed in reductionism.
Rather than admit that fact that they may not actually be happy and pursuing their purpose with real authentic community around them.
Cook single ingredient foods from a local farmer, be outside in nature, consistently move your body in any way that brings you joy, relentlessly pursue what lights you up, get good sleep, surround yourself with good people, laugh and love.
