npub1crhxgc6vp3gl2d94fy3m08ug7q9tu58pd49qax6llcp4lh5kn2hqvg34an (npub1crh…34an) I resisted getting a Kindle for years, mostly because I dislike single-use devices and was happier using the Kindle app on my (Android) tablet. Mrs B finally persuaded me I'd find it easier to use for poolside reading (e-ink is good in bright sunlight), so I bought one. Used it once. The networking sucks, happily connecting to some, studiously ignoring others. The browser sucks, even after 10+ years it's still "in beta" and as broken as a broken thing. You're telling me a company the size of Amazon can't write a browser ffs?
But it's OK for reading I guess. Not great, but good enough. Still prefer the app. So if you don't have a tablet and you want to do more than read, maybe a Kindle Fire? Kobo doesn't have much traction in the UK. Mrs B had a Nook, but that didn't last long. So it's virtually a one-horse race here 🙄
