Ricki Tarr (npub1e8r…ym5h) Along the lines of Nicola, but somewhat different...in an era when girls were forced to take homemaking in highschool while guys took shop, I attempted to register for shop class, and got turned down. Then the school esablished a ham radio club, and I joined...over loud protests. Mind you I'm straight--but I always found the activities designated "guy stuff" including automechanics to be of higher and more adventurous interest...which was regarded irrational at the time. No regrets.
