I know a disappointing number of people who think that the system's rigged against them so there's no point in trying. That said, I don't know if their views are common, if my local community has a broken culture so it's atypically common here (well, the culture's definitely broken, I just don't know if that's the cause of the popularity of the views), or if such views are uncommon but are so stupid that I can't help but fixate on them.
