And if that happen then we can hope to get a good gcc-rs and maybe one or two other rust compilers and that should be enough to fix rust bootstrapping as gcc is pure C++.
Getting GCC to support rust should bring a fresh wind to the rust community, with an alternative build system. I hope that can fix the monopoly of cargo/crates.io too.
And for the library management, the issue is clearly that dynamic libraries aren’t as well supported as they should, they are not as stable as static linked libs. And that’s the biggest problem with dependencies I think.
