TL;DR: A Chromecast Audio Plus for 2023. Adds Assistant-controlled audio streaming to anything, can be grouped with other Assistant speakers, supports Spotify Connect as well as cast, all with shitloads of configurable settings in a nonetheless simple-as-hell package.
