recording this data point: a conservative poll-watching newsletter I read for some accursed reason, predicts the House in 2024 is a "50/50", no longer "leans Republican". Given how weak their predictions have been since at least 2016, this could mean that the dumpster fire is that much closer to burning out. Maybe people, even Trump people, secretly want a break from the Trump Show.

(Also, if any Real Journalists read this - the reason this newsletter is always wrong is that young people, people of color, and trans and/or queer people are being systematically ignored in politics, even though we're highly politically active, out of self-defense. Also I'm not naming the newsletter, let's call it "Racing Form Daily".)
