I think the people at Expedia are time travelers - they keep telling me 11:41 AM is before 11:17 AM!
I booked a trip and made an error. I realized it at around 11:00 AM the following day and contacted them right away. The agent said it was 11:17 and the trip was booked at 11:00 so the 24 hour window for free changes passed.
What?! My email confirmation says 11:41.
So around we go and the agent 'left the chat'. Another agent comes on.
Long story short, I managed to escalate the issue after talking to customer service and finding some e-mail addresses. They confirmed the booking time at 11:36 (ok, so a few minutes before my confirmation e-mail, but still later than 11:17). They still say that is greater than 24 hours.
I think they are looking only at the continuation of the chat with the second agent, not when I started chatting with the first agent - and I've told them all this.
Good grief.
If you read this whole rant, thanks!
