I used to hack on all sorts of programming projects on weekends, but it's been a long time since I've done it.
Been trying to think about why.
Part of it is that I feel like I know too much. I can imagine how I'd implement a thing almost immediately and therefore the challenge is over and the rest is just typing.
Part of it is that I like to work on stuff that is going to be used but I know from long experience that weekend side projects never get finished and are virtually never revisited.
