Sticky inflation and tariffs on imports proposed and implemented by President Donald Trump are expected to temper demand for non-essential categories such as home furnishings and electronics that make up more than two-thirds of Target's sales, as well as a significant part of sales at Walmart, Costco, and other retailers. 🇺🇸 Given the White House’s current economic plan for many Americans it makes sense to start saving money now for the higher costs of electronics, clothing, etc. for an unknown number of years.🇺🇸
The White House is saying it’s tariffs will move jobs back to the US, however American employees get paid more than (underpaid) employees in other countries, American companies will pass those higher costs on to American customers.
If American companies stay in foreign countries and pay the White House tariffs they will pass on the cost of the tariffs to Americans customers. Either way Americans could be paying higher prices for an unknown number of years with the current White House economic plans.
