Bit of a tangent but my missus is used to cooking in non-stick pans but I hate them and use stainless steel.
Recently she’s been on a tear cooking various types of pancakes but was having problems with sticking and the universal rule of the first pancake always being ugly AF.
This week she made a great batch and apparently it was because she coated the greased pan with onion at the start. I hadn’t heard of that but apparently it works!
