I don't mean this in a doomer way, and I don't want to downplay the importance of immediate harm reduction and healing. But something that constantly worries me is the long-game. It's not enough to do direct action and advocate for better policies, if that can just be reversed on a dime.
We need to be thinking about changing our systems of power in ways that make them more responsive to everyone's needs, and more resistant to pushes by the already-powerful or self-interested.
